Who We Are?
H.O.P.E. Safehouse
HOPE Safehouse is non-profit, all volunteer animal rescue dedicated to protecting and improving the lives of abused, abandoned and neglected homeless animals and placing them in loving, permanent homes.
Give them a new, warm home they deserve!
We have been able to offer homeless animals a second chance by not only finding homes for more than 8000 pets, but also providing nurturing, medical care, training, grooming and other services that have prepared them for life with their new families.
History and Mission of HOPE Safehouse

our fosters, helpers, and volunteers.
HOPE is a nonprofit, all volunteer, animal welfare organization involved in the rescue, care, and placement of companion animals. Based in Racine WI, HOPE was founded by Lynn Nielsen-Eeg in the 1980’s and has rescued thousands of animals while also engaging in community based advocacy on behalf of animals.
After the passing of Lynn Nielen Eeg in September 2018, HOPE has continued to grow and thrive under a dedicated group of volunteers while adhering to Lynn’s original mission.
Donation operated
Allocating your donations, in its entirety, to the care and welfare of the animals.
Improving the lives of abused
Improving animal welfare through foster homes and placing with the appropriate families.
Education on behalf of animals
Through education and example, we extend the qualities of safety, shelter and compassion to all animals in our care.
HOPE Safehouse is a 100% volunteer operated, so you know your donation will go directly to our mission of helping vulnerable animals find a loving home.
